A Special Offer for Teachers in Sherwood
We’d love to come into your classroom! We’d particularly love to talk about the watersheds of Sherwood with your students.
We can help your students become aware of the creeks in their community, the connections they share with the new Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge, and the significance of taking care of our watersheds. And we can make this learning experience fun and meaningful, for kindergarten through 12th graders.
- We can tailor our program for the amount of time you have available.
- We can bring maps, reference books, photos, stickers, and more.
- We can play a game we’ve designed called Watershed Jeopardy that tests their knowledge of watershed concepts (and consequently teaches them some new concepts).
- We can distribute activity books and bookmarks.
- We have a beautiful poster for your classroom.
- We can sign students up for Community Service Hours.
- Or we can meet you at Stella Olsen Park for a guided walk through the Park.
All of this and more is available to you. Just give us a call or send us an email with the age and size of your class, the dates you’re considering for us to come to your classroom, and the amount of time you have for us. We’ll work with you to design the most appropriate and effective program.
