May 15th, Annual Migratory Songbird Festival
On Saturday, May 15th, we’ll again be at the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge, this time from 10:00 to 2:30, for this very special little festival. All ages are welcome, rain or shine, for a day of outdoor activities, guided nature walks, live bird education show, native plant sale, hands-on educational crafts for kids, exhibits, presentations, entertainment, food, fun and more. The event and parking are free.
Oct. 9th, No Ivy Day
On Saturday, October 9th, we’ll be pulling invasive English Ivy from Stella Olsen Park in Sherwood from 9 am to 12 noon. Come be part of this important effort. Holding this event in the fall allows us to remove the dreaded English Ivy with less damage to native vegetation and to ground-nesting birds during a sensitive time. Join us as we protect our natural areas by removing the invasive English Ivy on No Ivy Day! We’ll have free coffee and donuts!
TBA, Tree Planting with R2R
On a Saturday soon to be determined, we will again plant trees, and probably again on the Platanus Trail. Please stay tuned for the date and time, and place!
